Use Edit > Crop Selected Image to cut portions from an image. For example, you might have a photograph that was taken from too far away. You can remove elements in the background but retain the subject in the photo.

To crop an image:
1 | Choose Edit > Crop Selected Image. |
The crop handles appear. | |
2 | Adjust the crop handles until the bounding box surrounds the area of the image that you want to keep: |

Hold down Shift and use the arrow keys.

3 | Double-click inside the bounding box or press Enter to crop the image. Everything outside the bounding box is removed. |
Press Esc to cancel the crop command. | |
